WELCOME TO THE NORFOLK ARSENAL SUPPORTERS CLUB
PRIVACY
Introduction
General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) became effective in May 2018. With that in mind, we (the annually elected NASC committee) would like you to understand how we collect, store and use your personal data.

Collection of your personal information
In order to run our voluntary members club and service your membership, we need to ask you for some personal information. We may ask for your basic contact information (such as names, telephone numbers, postal and email addresses). We may also ask for variable additional information that we need in order to manage the club membership records, process ticket requests etc.
You should be aware that NASC is a voluntary club, run by a small number of ordinary members who volunteer each season to run the club by carrying out committee roles. Your data will therefore be collected and used by individual volunteer committee members, and whilst committee members are aware of and reminded of data handling good practice they are not experts in this field. If you are not comfortable with your personal details being available to NASC committee members on this basis, we recommend you do not join NASC.

Storage, processing and retention of your information
Information we hold about you is used by elected, voluntary committee members as described above. They may store this information on computer, smart phone, written forms or written notes, typically in their home or place of work. We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to service your membership of the club, and to maintain records for legal purposes.
Sharing your personal information - with Arsenal FC
Arsenal FC provide us (and other Arsenal supporters clubs) with a mandatory internet-based record keeping, admin and newsletter communication platform called the 'Arsenal Extranet'. This platform is free of charge, and helps us to maintain accurate records and send email communications to members. Arsenal expect us to use this platform as a condition of recognising our club, and the data we enter is available for Arsenal to see and use. When you join NASC, renew your NASC membership or tell us of a change in your personal details (e.g. a change of address), we enter/update your data on the Arsenal Extranet, so Arsenal will be aware of those changes too. By default, we therefore share some of your personal data with Arsenal FC.
NASC access to the extranet is restricted to three or four committee members only each season, and the data is username and password protected.
If you want to know more about the how we use your data on the Arsenal Extranet, please contact us. If you want to know more about the Arsenal Extranet or how Arsenal use or secure your data, please contact Arsenal FC directly.

Sharing your personal information - other
Other than the Arsenal Extranet as described above, your personal information will be used by us solely for the purpose of servicing your membership of the club or discharging any legal obligations and will not be shared or sold for commercial gain.

Your rights with respect to the information we hold
You are entitled to access the personal information that we hold about you. If any information we hold is inaccurate you can ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to delete your information - we will do this unless it prevents us being able to service your membership or meet any legal or regulatory obligations.

Communication preferences
We may contact you by telephone, post or email in order to provide you with a service. This could be to directly service your individual needs, or for more general communications that we think might be of benefit to you. We do not operate any form of mass commercial postal, telephone or email marketing other than using the Arsenal Extranet group email facility to send you news and information about NASC activities. You can ask that we do not send you communications using any of the contact details we hold on our records.
