PRIVACY

Introduction

General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) became effective in May 2018. With that in mind, we (the annually elected NASC committee) would like you to understand how we collect, store and use your personal data.

Collection of your personal information

In order to run our voluntary members club and service your membership, we need to ask you for some personal information. We may ask for your basic contact information (such as names, telephone numbers, postal and email addresses). We may also ask for variable additional information (such as Arsenal membership details) that we need in order to manage the club membership records, process ticket requests etc.

You should be aware that NASC is a voluntary club, run by a small number of ordinary members who volunteer each season to run the club by carrying out committee roles. Your data will therefore be collected and used by individual volunteer committee members, and whilst committee members are aware of and reminded of data handling good practice they are not experts in this field. If you are not comfortable with your personal details being available to NASC committee members on this basis, we recommend you do not join NASC.

Storage, processing and retention of your information

Information we hold about you is used by elected, voluntary committee members as described above. They may store this information on computer, smart phone, written forms or written notes, typically in their home or place of work. We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to service your membership of the club, and to maintain records for legal purposes.

Sharing your personal information with third parties

MEMBERMOJO

We use MemberMojo to manage our membership records, applications, renewals and emails. MemberMojo is a third party commercial membership platform, and we pay a fee each year to use their service. The personal information you give to us will be stored on the MemberMojo system. Your records will be accessible by all members of the NASC Committee. You will have access to your MemberMojo account so you can see and amend your records.

ARSENAL FC

Arsenal FC provide us (and other Arsenal supporters clubs) with an internet-based record keeping system called the 'Arsenal Extranet'. This platform is free of charge, and we use it to order tickets from Arsenal. When you join NASC, we may enter/update your data on the Arsenal Extranet, and Arsenal FC will be able to see the personal data you give to us. By default, we therefore share some of your personal data with Arsenal FC.
NASC access to the extranet and your personal data is restricted to NASC committee members only.

For more information, please contact Arsenal FC directly.

MAILING FULFILMENT

Once a year we may post a letter and membership cards to members. We may use a commercial, third party mailing fulfilment house to handle this for us. We will therefore share some of your personal data, including but not limited to your title, name, address, membership status and linked family members with our chosen mailing house so that they can send the letter and the cards to our members. They will handle your personal data in accordance with their own policies.

Sharing your personal information - other

Other than as described above, your personal information will be used by us solely for the purpose of servicing your membership of the club or discharging any legal obligations and will not be shared or sold for commercial gain.

Your rights with respect to the information we hold

You are entitled to access the personal information that we hold about you. If any information we hold is inaccurate you can ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to delete your information - we will do this unless it prevents us being able to service your membership or meet any legal or regulatory obligations.

Communication preferences

We may contact you by telephone, post or email in order to provide you with a service. This could be to directly service your individual needs, or for more general communications that we think might be of benefit to you. We do not operate any form of mass commercial postal, telephone or email marketing other than using the MemberMojo group email facility to send you news and information about NASC activities. You can ask that we do not send you communications using any of the contact details we hold on our records, and you can unsubscribe from our mailing lists.
